Position description
Non-Exempt position. Performs analyses on biological specimens, e.g. blood and urine, to aid health care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Participates in the operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.
Qualifications
For MT-Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Medical/Clinical Laboratory Science, or health related field. Completion of a clinical laboratory internship required. A HEW certificate may be substituted for the specified degree. Applicants with a Baccalaureate Degree in a science or health related field with completion of a clinical laboratory internship or clinical laboratory experience will be considered in the appropriate field of study (i.e. Microbiology).
For MLT- Associate's degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program or U.S. military Medical Laboratory-training program.
Additional qualifications
Experience working in a medical field preferred. Moderate to advanced computer skills. Possess good written and oral communications skills. Ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changes in work volumes and projects. Phlebotomy experience preferred. Willingness to travel to other MCHS locations for assignments as needed.
License or certification

For MT-Required to possess one of the following; appropriate HHS (Health & Human Services) or approved laboratory certification (ASCP or AMT) Medical Technologist, MT (ASCP) Clinical Laboratory Scientist, CLS (ASCP) Medical Laboratory Scientist, MLS (ASCP) Medical Technologist, MT (AMT) HEW Or registry eligible. Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete Board of Registry ASCP or AMT examination within first 6 months of employment. Basic Life Support certification may be required within six months of hire, depending on location of hire.
For MLT-Applicant should possess one of the following appropriate HHS (Health & Human Services) approved laboratory certifications: Medical eligible. Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete Board of Registry ASCP or AMT examination within first 6 months of employment. Basic Life Support certification may be required within six months of hire, depending on location of hire.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $20.54 per hour for MLT and $25.57 for MT

Primarily Day shift, but must be able to pick up other shifts as needed to meet the schedule requirements.
Weekend schedule
Every 6th Sunday and Saturday schedule and call rotation. Work on site for 8 hours and take call for the remainder of the 24 hours time frame. Sunday, then the following Saturday. 24 hour timeframe.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
